Meet the Roots
Roo — Confidence Root. If it’s not a challenge, what’s the point?

About Roo

Roo loves a challenge — big ones, small ones, all of them. He turns everything into a competition, and he’s fast, determined and always trying to improve.

But Roo doesn’t just want to win; he wants to be better than yesterday. He leads the Confidence Root, where having a go, trying again and beating your own personal best is the whole game.

New day. New challenge. New personal best!

If it’s not a challenge, what’s the point?

Roo focuses on…

Having a Go

Jumps in and tries, even when it’s hard.

Never Giving Up

Bounces back and tries again — better than yesterday.

How Roo helps your child grow

Confidence & Resilience

Trying, practising, bouncing back and brave attempts — the mindset that makes all other learning stick.

Growth mindset

Learning that effort and practice build ability — not “being smart”. Mistakes are part of getting better.

Persistence & resilience

Having another go after a setback, and measuring progress against yourself: “better than yesterday”.

Goal-setting

Setting small goals, tracking progress and celebrating personal bests.

Independence & self-belief

Backing yourself, managing big feelings, and the confidence to try something new.
